Looks like “double quotes” and ‘single quotes’ are not properly converted by wptexturize(). Uh oh.

Emailing everybody that has already commented on a paragraph/page when somebody adds a new comment might be a good feature. Maybe BuddyPress already does that… I think that would help in having people come back and add more comments. as is they may never know. I find that a good feature of the WordPress forums. Just a thought.

@stephen thanks for the suggestion. CommentPress is compatible with Subscribe To Comments Reloaded, which allows this and more.

I never realised that before, but that makes sense, though your original sentence reads just fine to me either way.
On a related note, there is one other noun – “Universe” – which some have argued should never be […]

Comments can now be reassigned from one “paragraph” to another. Useful when the content changes because orphaned comments that referred to the changed text-block can be reassigned to the changed version.

If we need to change the name of Commentpress, what’s your preferred name?
-
CommentPressX
-
All the things I’m thinking of now are the obvious and awful things: Commentpress Plus, Commentpress 4, Commentpress MS…
-
Or worse still, Commentpress Pro

I see the “paste a YouTube URL into the Visual Editor” process is still auto-generating links for you instead of embedding the video.
I’ve edited the comment so the video is actually embedded, but I will also look to see if there are ways to overcome this behaviour.
